I am so excited about my husband’s latest book coming out this fall, Greater! It is based on the life of the prophet, Elisha. And it is amazing.
I loved Sun Stand Still. The teachings in it continue to stay with me in my everyday life.
But I have to say, I liked Greater even better and I cannot wait for you to get your hands on a copy. Greater is about moving beyond living a life that is good enough and into fulfilling the greatness God sees in me.
Today I remembered that I have a box of advanced reader copies in my garage and I decided (with permission from my husband, of course) to share a few copies with some of you.

I am from Norwalk, Ohio. My family has been going to the Norwalk extension site for Elevation since they opened over a year ago. We love our church! We recently were able to visit the Blakeney location and were fortunate enough to see Israel Houghton. What an opportunity. Honestly, my 11 year-old (Owen) was disappointed that Pastor Steven was not there, but got over it when he heard Israel. He did make me promise to do another road trip before summer is over to go back to Blakeney. He listens to Pastor Steven on his i-phone all the time! Owen’s 12th birthday is today, we already have Sun Stand Still, and I couldn’t think of a better gift than this book (besides meeting your family in person, of course!) Hey Holly! I am actually from Fort Lauderdale, FL but now reside in good ole Charlotte, NC. Big ole difference :) I definitely have to say that the Sun Stand Still book has been such a blessing and has been a prayer I began praying since coming to Elevation June 2009, hearing the Sun Stand Still sermons, and hearing Pastor Steven talk about it on the We Are Alive cd. He talked about serving a God who can turn our mistakes into miracles-and WOW, God has for my husband and myself!
That prayer has been the miracle prayer in my life and I have gone from meeting my husband and now awaiting our first child who is due in 2 weeks. It has changed so many lives.
So excited to see what this book will do in the lives of many. I have a feeling it will be even “Greater”

Wow, what an awesome gift! I’ve lived in the QC my entire life and I’m proud to call it home. For the month of July, I will have the incredible opportunity to join hands with a group of women serving through Blessed Back Ministries to the people in Nicaragua, my anticipated, new home. As we all prepare for this adventure, I believe the wisdom and meat in this book can take our journey to a new level, a greater level. We are so excited to share the good news and to build relationships with these people. Oh Pastor Holly!!! :) Little things like this make me fall in love with my church all over again!!! Sun Stand Still helped James and I decide to relocate to the Charlotte area to be a part of Elevation regularly. I’m sure you are aware we’ve been driving 3.5 hrs from Rocky Mount, NC to serve at Elevation. Sun Stand Still gave us that extra boost of faith to trust God on a new level…so we moved, a couple weekends ago, jobless-but completely fulfilled in the Lord!! :) It’s so freeing!! We are definitely looking forward to Greater!!! :)

Hi Holly! I am so excited for this book, ever since Pastor Stevn first blogged about writing it and then blogging a preview of the book! My husband and I just recently moved to Charlotte from Seattle/Tacoma, WA (got here June 8). We came to some of Code Orange Revival and felt very heavily on our hearts that God was calling us to move to Charlotte and be a part of Elevation. :) Thank you for all you, Pastor Steven and your family give every weekend! We are so grateful for the calling God has placed in your hands and are excited to be a part of it! :)

I actually discovered your church website on accident when Pastor Jared Wilson & Identity Conference mentioned about Elevation on Facebook. I have listened to some of your sermons through the website and have found them especially helpful such as System 77 (something about forgiveness)

I’ve lived in Charlotte for four years but I’m originally from Alabama. I’m so excited about “Greater”! I’m a poet and Pastor has helped me to grow in faith and has inspired me to write some of my most encouraging and spiritual poems to date. And I am always thrilled to use my sphere of influence to impact lives for Christ. I know “Greater” is full of wisdom and I can hardly wait for what’s in store.

Hi Holly! I’m from Dacula, GA. Straight down I85S. I first heard Pastor Steven speak at a youth camp I was interning at in 2007. I don’t remember which beach it was at in Florida but I had the privilege of hearing him preach probably four or five nights in a row. He even introduced you and Elijah to the group (you were pregnant with Graham). The Lord really used his words and actions that week to speak to me and encourage me in my faith. I’ve followed yalls blog and Elevation ever since! You both are doing an incredible thing in the lives of many in Charlotte and around the world! I can’t wait to read Pastor Steven’s new book!

A few years ago Sun Stand Still changed my life. It showed me that I really could be the Pastor that I had always dreamed of but was intimidated to be. Last summer I had the honor of baptizing 55 kids at our annual youth camp. The theme for the year was none other than Sun Stand Still. Nothing would be greater than receiving a copy of well… Greater. I cannot wait for this to be released! My fiancé and I read Sun Stand Still as we were praying about ministry opportunities while in college, now that one of us is out, this can be our prayer for the next step! Look out Kentucky!!

Apart from commenting and hoping (and fervently praying) to win a copy of Pastor Steven’s latest book, I thought I’d take this chance to say that I enjoy reading your blog, and also that I enjoy being part of Elevation Church as an avid listener of the sermons through the Elevation podcast. Yay!!!! SSStill was incredible….Holly, I bought a box full of these books and gave them to all of my 24 year old son’s friends after he was killed in December. I have encouraged these young men to follow Steven online…they so need to hear his messages. SSStill changed my life and I refer to it often and it is one of my favorite books to share with others. I am so excited to know that another book is on the way! :)

I can not wait for this book! Pastor Furtick has been one of the consist people who I seek wisdom from. God has used him to help me plant seeds and see God’s goodness in everything. I’m beyond humbled and completely grateful that God has placed influential people along my path. Including my pastor, I am from the greatest church I know Bay Area Fellowship all the way down in Corpus Christi Texas! And they have both helped me, umoung others, to unlock the audacious faith that is just waiting to burst out if we only trust Him! Thank you will never be good enough for the gratitude I have. And thank will surely never be good enough for the gift of Jesus, words don’t do justice for the honor and glory I have to serve Him!

I randomly found Elevation online during the Awake 21 days of prayer and fasting at the beginning of this year and now it has become a part of my weekly soul food.
