It’s Friday and time for another Life Change Inbox! Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3:2-4 that our lives are living letters written so that God might be glorified. People often write in to Elevation and share the work God is doing in their lives through our church. When I read these stories, I am reminded that we serve a powerful God who still works miracles in the lives of everyday people. These stories inspire me to keep giving, keep serving and continue praying for those who are far from God. I hope they will do the same for you.
If you have a life change story that you would like to share, please do! Email us at amen@elevationchurch.org.
Check out Justin’s story…….
I want to thank the staff and volunteers of Elevation Church for giving their all (times, talents, and everything). I took a job in Charlotte from another state, and picked up everything and moved. I had heard about Elevation so I looked it up and decided to visit. My life hasn’t been the same since.
I knew that Elevation was something different. I visited a few other churches in Charlotte, but how I was greeted and made to feel extremely important at Elevation was something I couldn’t get over. I started attending regularly. Not too long after that I knew that I had to be a part of this. I’ve always been the type of person that wanted to be doing rather than just taking up a seat, so I joined an eTeam and it’s been awesome.
I’ve been challenged to learn, tithe (something that I had never been pushed to do before) and to grow. I’ve advanced in my job to the point where recently I was offered a position in the company that paid significantly more, had a benefits package that was unbeatable, and all the perks I could want. It was a huge career move and could do monumental things for me. The catch was that it was going to require me to re-locate to another state.
Then baptisms at Elevation happened. I can’t even begin to explain what that experience was like. I had never in my life been able to tune everything else out except what was happening in front of me, but it was like an out of body experience. God moved in a way that I could never explain. I decided to turn down the job promotion because Elevation is home. It’s where I belong.
I want to thank the original families for taking the risk, and giving up everything to start Elevation. I’m blessed beyond my wildest dreams to be a part of this church.
Justin

That’s like what I feel god wants me to do! But I’m just praying for him to open a door for me

I teared up when Justin said “Elevation is home. It’s where I belong”
That was my exact feeling when I attended Elevation for the first time for the launch of the Rock Hill campus September 10th 2011, and as of January 2012 I am on the usher team there. Now a year later almost to the day I am helping launch Elevation Gaston as a VIP team member.
I am so grateful for Pastor Steven, you Holly, and all the original Families who risked everything for this call of God. I can’t even begin to imagine my life without Elevation church! Thank You All!
