The ALS Ice Bucket challenge is extra special to our family. My father-in-law, Ltrain, who went to be in heaven last year had ALS. Because of the viral success of the Ice bucket challenge, donations to the ALS foundation have gone off the charts. This time last year, the ALS foundation raised $2.2M. As of today, donations are up to $53.3 M!!!
To make a donation or for more information on ALS AND to watch some celebrity ice bucket videos visit www.alsa.org.
And for a good laugh check out these amazing ice bucket fails. Ltrain would have loved to watch these with me!

I hate ALS. It took to life of my husbands Grandfather. I love that the ice water challenge has been huge in bringing attention to it. It saddens me as a believer that God creates all of us at conception to know that the ALSA does use embryonic stem cells in their research. There is another research establishment, and I’m sure more than this one I know of, that honors ethically human life on all ends so they do not use stem cells from embryos. It’s the John Paul II Medical Research Institute. I hope that helps bring some victory over this especially horrible disease while respecting the life of even the smallest.
